Puzuki Releases Free Stock Footage, Seeks Sponsors

Production studio will release library of stock footage for free download and use. The library will be sponsored by advertisers, who buy 5-year slots at $1/pixel.

Eugene, OR, November 14, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Pat Welborn, founder of the art studio Puzuki, announced today that all stock footage created from November 13, 2006 through November 12, 2007 will be available for free download and use from the Puzuki website (Google "puzuki motion art"). The motion graphics footage will be released daily and is available for live performance, video production, broadcast television, film and more. All clips are licensed under a Creative Commons deed.

Pat, who is currently unemployed, is using the opportunity to gain audience and advertising revenue. "I'm offering ad space for $1 per pixel on the site and the ads run for 5 years. Advertisers gain customers, visitors get free clips, and I will have a job. Everyone wins."

Stock footage has become very popular in recent years. With the boom in digital video production and affordability of equipment, many companies and individuals seek easy and cost-effective ways to get materials.

Video producers aren't the only ones who will benefit from the stock footage library. VJs ('visual' or 'video jockeys') who perform video at live events and concerts will also be able to use the footage.

"I want the materials to be available for as many people as possible. In the coming months I hope to make all the materials available for HDTV as well." Currently the footage is formatted for SDTV, VGA and QVGA.
