“At Sage Restaurant Group, our mission is to create a memorable culinary occasion complete with a locally infused vibe. We have achieved that by uniting local talent with high quality local products,” said Co-Founder & COO Peter Karpinski.

The Toasted Oak Grill will highlight locally sourced ingredients such as cherries, lemons, asparagus, tomatoes and herbs in its imaginative menu, which will include: Chef Grostick’s House-made Charcuterie Platter with pickled vegetables and mustards; Blue Hill Bay Mussels Frites with white wine, herbs, shallots and butter; BBQ Wagyu Brisket; and Grilled Pizza with spinach, marinated olives, zucchini, pine nuts and taleggio cheese.

Diners can purchase a wide array of value-driven wines from the adjacent Market to be served with their meal in the restaurant. The extensive drink menu will include a variety of homegrown Michigan wines in addition to those produced nationally and internationally, handcrafted cocktails, infused vodkas and local microbrews.

Also available will be artisanal farmstead cheeses, unique condiments, special Michigan products including items from Faygo and Sanders, gourmet sandwiches, grilled pizzas, to-go deli items, fresh flowers and gifts for the discerning gourmand “Our passion for local ingredients was the driving force in creating the menu at Toasted Oak,” said Chef Steven Grostick. “As Sage Restaurant Group chose to expand into Michigan, we have ensured that local products remain under the spotlight at Toasted Oak Grill & Market.”
