Queralt and ConvergenceTP Pre-Empt Unauthorized Activity with VideoRF/Q

VideoRF/Q combines RFID tags and multiple types of sensors with sophisticated alerting and recording technology enabling a complete record of any suspicious activity to be sent instantly to appropriate enforcement personnel.

Wallingford, CT, April 20, 2010 --(PR.com)-- · Unique combination of RFID, sensor, and video technology informs of illicit item and information access as it happens, not after the asset is removed

· System alerts while activity is happening, creates forensically admissible video record of the event

Queralt, LLC., a leading developer of value-based RFID technology applications today introduced VideoRF/Q enabled by the ConvergenceTP’s Event Streaming Engine (ESETM , patent pending) , a next-generation premises asset control system designed to alert management as items or information assets are being illicitly accessed while producing an encrypted videorecording of the event. The combination of the sensor alert record, OnSSI’s Video Management System (www.onssi.com) and the encrypted videorecording is forensically admissible in court allowing ready, unimpeachable prosecution of the offender.

VideoRF/Q combines RFID tags and multiple types of sensors with sophisticated alerting and recording technology enabling a complete record of any suspicious activity to be sent instantly to appropriate enforcement personnel. The video record begins 30 seconds before the event and ends 30 seconds after it has concluded. The alert dispatches an apprehension activity while the record provides immediate probable cause for arrest. This virtually eliminates the time investigators typically spend reviewing hours of videorecording seeking to find the point at which a missing item was actually removed from the premises, usually long after the item is gone.

“Before VideoRF/Q the first alert was the awful moment when someone realized something was missing,” explains Queralt Managing Director Michael Queralt. “We’ve replaced investigation with immediate evidence at the time of the theft.”

Queralt foresees numerous applications of VideoRF/Q, from protection of high-value assets such as computer equipment and high-ticket inventory to sensitive files and documents and movement of personnel in restricted areas. “RFID tags are so unobtrusive and inexpensive that they can be used in a broad variety of environments,” explained Queralt. “Offenders no longer need to obstruct a sensor in a specific physical place to alert first responders. We can provide alerts for the presence of fluid, opening and closing of doors, electrical activity, temperature and humidity changes as well as motion. This dramatically expands our ability to apply diligence much more broadly and flexibly.”

Charles Hickey, Managing Director of ConvergenceTP (www.c2p.com) emphasized how easily the ESE ports the users text information onto the video screens, information that safety and security personal need at their finger tips precisely when an alarm is issued thus saving valuable time in their confirmation and response to the alert.” Mulli Diamant, VP of Sales for OnSSI, Market leader in IP Video Surveillance, added, “We believe that our customers will see VideoRF/Q as a value add for anyone utilizing our Ocularis recorder NetDVMS. VideoRF/Q further extends the range of applications of OnSSI’s of Video Management Platforms.

Queralt concluded, adding that “We’ve finally bolted the barndoor Before the horse has left the barn.”
