New York, NY, April 20, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- The Boost Group has welcomed recent survey results from New York based consultancy, WSL Strategic Retail, that show 47% of all women shopped online in the last quarter, with 24% doing so in the last week. These figures are up 10% from 2008 and show that Mum’s are increasingly turning to the internet to do the bulk of their shopping.
These statistics reinforce other survey results, such as those from lead generation firm, Prospectiv, whose findings show that 33% of parents shop for products for their children online.
The Boost Group’s online retail directory specifically aimed at parents, www.kidsonlinedirectory.com, provides a comprehensive directory service for all products and services related to Babies, Toddlers, Children and Kids. Kids Online Directory provides an invaluable resource for parents and carers, providing a wide range of information at their fingertips via website listings in areas such as children’s health, diet, organic food, education, baby equipment, clothing, parties, family entertainment etc.
Graeme Longworth, CEO of Boost Group Limited said “Surveys like this show how the internet is reinventing the retail market by redefining choices for parent shoppers. Especially when it comes to raising their children, parents are very particular about the products and brands they will buy and are prepared to go that extra mile to research and locate favourite brands. The Kids Online Directory provides a perfect opportunity for businesses to target that loyal and growing market and increase their SEO in the process”.
