)-- Atrion Networking Corporation, a leading provider of information technology and managed services, today announces it has promoted Dave Ramsden to the role of Chief Intelligence Officer.
Atrion’s transformation of both the CIO role and the Information Services function represents a major step in the Company’s internal implementation of its AlwaysOn philosophy. In his role, Dave will be responsible for analyzing the Company’s collected data and working with its internal leadership to derive initiatives which will lead the strategic development and growth of Atrion’s information systems, services and overall efficiency. This intelligence will additionally be utilized to support the planning and achievement of Atrion’s long range business goals.
“In his nine years at Atrion, Dave has found a way to help lead change in almost facet of our organization,” said Tim Hebert, Atrion’s CEO. “He has served us a project manager, led our field operations and diligently rolled out our new enterprise-level ERP, CRM and Services Management platform, just to name a few. Dave is the consummate team player, and his strength comes from the passion of his quiet leadership and his thorough analysis and seizure of the challenges and opportunities that we face. Today, Dave is embarking on a new adventure, and I have nothing but the highest confidence and anticipation in the places Dave will lead Atrion into the future.”
“The role of the CIO is changing,” says Ramsden. “Our capacity to capture and retain information has often outpaced our ability to analyze and learn from it. It accelerates business by driving unity of thought and action. This fusion is how the CIO of the future will hold a compelling seat at any company’s executive table. I’m looking forward to the course we are taking and to the role I’ve been invited to play in helping chart it.”
Prior to joining Atrion in 2001, Dave worked for Dimension Data US, Data Comm Systems, Inc. and Eastern Telecom.
