Doremus San Francisco Wins Social Media Marketing Award

Viral video series for HP takes first place.

New York, NY, April 22, 2010 --( Doremus San Francisco, BtoB magazine’s “top agency” for 2010, has won first place in BtoB magazine’s annual competition for the best social media marketing program.

As part of The Collaboratory, Doremus San Francisco delivered the creative concept to HP in a series of three viral videos for HP Technology Services entitled “HP EB IB Flex Care Packs.”

The goal of the HP viral videos is to promote renewals and extensions of the HP Flex Care Pack service agreements. The humorous videos depict an “Everyman” IT guy named Alex and his interaction with a computer with a voice.

The engaging series has run on the HP site, as well as YouTube, and has also garnered viral strength through demand generation tactics.

All submissions to the “social media marketing” competition were evaluated by a panel of BtoB judges based on criteria that included how well the viral program achieved the marketer’s objectives, which included quantifiable results and growth in brand awareness.

In addition to the first place win, the HP Flex Care Pack series was selected as one of the top three favorite entries from a technology company. This means the series is now also eligible for a People’s Choice Award. (Voting takes place online at
