AnswerFirst Communications announces the acquisition of a new IT Director.

James joins the AnswerFirst team as IT Director for the Tampa, FL operations center.

James will be responsible for several upgrades to AnswerFirst's infrastructure with a focus on improving infrastructure capabilities, security, reliability and efficiency. His initial focus will be on designing and deploying the infrastructure necessary to support AnswerFirst's remote operator program which allows operators to work from home. As part of the infrastructure upgrades he'll also implement full-monitoring and notification of the infrastructure with Groundwork Monitor, migrate the entire organization from Exchange to Google Apps, overhaul the switching environment from non-managed switches to layer 2 switches and migrate the infrastructure from Symantec AV to Kapersky. Prior to joining AnswerFirst, James gained over 10 years of experience in IT beginning with training as a network engineer in the U.S. Army and then moving on to work as a software consultant and hardware technician for a few privately-held corporations.
