Artist Khalil Ismail Gives Solid Break-Up Advice in New Song and Music Video for "Sometimes"

Washington, DC, April 24, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Brown'sTone Recording Company Introduces New Song & Video by Khalil Ismail.

Coming off the success of his debut LP, The Calm Before The Storm, a 21-city nationwide tour with stints in the Netherlands, and a few awards to boot, Alternative Hip Hop Soul artist Khalil Ismail delivers a video for the summertime hit single, "Sometimes."

"Sometimes it just wasn't meant to be/and everybody doesn't have the luxury/of getting it right the first time/so do you give up or keep trying?"

With the hypnotic accessory of Grammy nominated vocalist, Maimouna Youssef, "Sometimes" is a melodic, lyrical anecdote about recognizing when a relationship has run its course. The video provides a duel storyline-one depicting the lyrics of the song with a man and woman, and the other more symbolically using the song as narration for Khalil's own relationship with Hip-Hop-which might remind you a bit of Common and Lauryn Hill's "Retrospective of Life" video from back in '97.
