Petals Network’s Valuable Support This Mother’s Day

This year for Mother's Day, Petals offers customers the opportunity to do something special and give back to the community. For every floral order purchased through, a percentage of the sales will be donated to the nominated charity.

Armidale, Australia, April 25, 2010 --( This year, Petals Network ( offers their customers a simple yet meaningful way to show their appreciation. “This Mother’s Day you can surprise your mother with flowers and support a worthy cause at the same time” said Samantha Hammond, Operations Manager of Petals Network. Mother’s Day is celebrated all over the world and each year people search for the perfect gift to say ‘Thank you’.

For every floral order purchased through Petals’ Charity Flowers, Petals will donate part of the proceeds to a nominated charity. “It is hoped with the increased exposure, we can increase the funding for these charities” Samantha said. These proceeds will help provide funding for research, treatment, support and accommodation. “Your Mother’s Day gift will mean more when you send through Charity Flowers. Samantha said, “Especially if these charities have helped your family and friends”.

Petals Network, established in 1992, has a long history in supporting charities. In 2002, Petals established the Charity Flowers program. Today, this program supports eight Australian charities. These charities include the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Wesley Mission, Royal Children’s Hospital and the Make-a-Wish Foundation. “Just remember, these charities can be supported when you send flowers to your Mum this Mother’s Day” Samantha added.

To extend the Charity Flowers program, Petals launched in December, 2009. This website is designed to increase the exposure of the program, and its charities. Customers can choose a charity and place an order for flowers. This is an easy process to help support a charity and show appreciation.
