Milford Named Practice Manager at Visiting Physicians Association’s® Fort Worth Office

Fort Worth, TX, April 25, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Patricia Milford has been named practice manager by Visiting Physicians Association® (“VPA®”) for its recently opened Fort Worth, Texas office located at 1301 W. 7th Street (Suite 121). The Fort Worth office covers Johnson, Parker and Tarrant Counties and parts of Palo, Pinto and Hood Counties.

In this position, Milford is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the administrative and clinical areas. She also will handle management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures for the physician practice.

America’s leader in house call medicine and specialists in geriatric care, VPA is staffed by more than 145 highly-qualified physicians across 31 locations in nine states available to assist in the diagnosis and ongoing medical treatment of seniors. VPA also has offices in Michigan, Ohio, Florida, Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Wisconsin and Virginia.

Prior to joining VPA, Milford served as regional director of operations at Emeritus Senior Living. In this position, she provided support for nine communities across Texas, including assisted living, Alzheimer’s/dementia and independent retirement residents. Milford ensured compliance of policies and licensure regulations through routine quarterly site visits and visits as necessary to support objectives. She also worked with the Executive Directors to obtain quality employees to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and high quality patient care.

Milford acted in a similar role as regional manager with Sunwest Management Inc., managing ten communities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and into Louisiana. She also held leadership positions as executive director at Alterra Health Care in Watauga, Texas and Merrill Gardens in North Richland Hills, Texas.

Milford earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Health Care Administration from Wayland Baptist University. She also has an Associate of Science degree from Louisiana State University.
