Kent, United Kingdom, August 04, 2005 --(PR.com)-- In attempt to help UK Students to successfully manage their studies a new non-commercial project has been launched this summer. UK Student Portal aims to help students with every aspect of academic issues such as essay and dissertation writing, group work, making effective presentations, and etc. In the light of the recent plagiarism discussions web site provides separate section on referencing and plagiarism to ensure that students have access to valuable information.

Several distinguishing innovations of this project should be noted. Firstly, all of the articles published on the web site are works of well-know academics from UK, US, Australian and other International Universities, which ensures the reputability of the source. Secondly, each and every article is being re-printed with the permission of the copyright holder. However, what is more remarkable, is the fact that readers have a chance to compare various techniques and approaches suggested by Academics from different countries and institutions, which really gives readers a unique opportunity to cherry pick the best solutions to the issue in context. For example looking at the “Presentations” section readers can find advice on giving presentations from the experts of University of Kent, Harvard University, University of California, University of Canberra and other reputable Institutions.

Apart from that, students are being offered a place to discuss academic issues; create personal web pages and post their CVs for the attention of recruiters. Companies offering vacancies to students can also post their vacancies for free.

This project has received considerable support from International Academic Community and is believed to be the first web site to provide such a collection of information resources. Academics are being asked to help this project develop by giving re-print permissions for their articles.
