San Diego Patients Participate in the Worldwide Marijuana March

San Diego, CA, April 26, 2010 --(PR.com)-- San Diego Patients Participate In The Worldwide Marijuana March 2010.

San Diego medical marijuana patients and their supporters will meet at 11am and march together from Crystal Pier on the boardwalk to the lifeguard station at Mission Beach and back again in support of the medical marijuana movement. This event, co-sponsored by Southern California NORML and the 30th Street Patient Collective, is part of a worldwide march taking place on the same day in over 300 cities across the United States as well as many other parts of the world. It is expected that well over one million people will participate in this worldwide effort to show support for the medical marijuana movement.

The Worldwide Marijuana March is an event put together by Cures Not Wars, an organization founded in New York in May 1994 as a grassroots response to the deteriorating quality of life in America. They are a coalition of drug-reform activists, users, health-care and drug-treatment providers and social-justice activists committed to advocacy and non-violent direct action to stop the drug war, whether in small, local protests or in regional or national actions.

Southern California NORML is the local chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. Their mission is to move public opinion sufficiently to achieve the repeal of marijuana prohibition so that the responsible use of cannabis by adults is no longer subject to penalty.

The 30th Street Patient Collective was established in 2008 in order to provide safe, affordable access to it’s members in a friendly atmosphere.
