Now the catering company known for cook-to-order omelettes and pasta has expanded to cater in-home and corporate parties from San Fernando Valley to Santa Barbara County. The company also offers fresh fruit smoothies and espresso/cappuccino stations.

“After doing some research, we discovered that there was a niche we could fill in the region,” says David Model, who majored in business and is a lifelong cooking enthusiast. “Our new venture replicates our high-quality cuisine and service from Maryland and blends it with new offerings to meet our SoCal customers’ tastes.”

Mr. Omelette works hard to exceed customers’ expectations by making events easy, delicious and successful. The caterer provides top-notch customer service, walking the event’s host or hostess through the whole planning process, and offers optional party-planning services. Additionally, the professional, friendly staff arrives early and stays late to ensure that the set-up and clean-up are perfectly executed.

Clients have many options regarding the menu, so they can customize their event to their individual tastes. At the event, guests are encouraged to further customize their meal by choosing from a variety of toppings and fillings for their made-to-order omelettes, crepes, pancakes and Belgian waffles.

Mr. Omelette also serves up gourmet pasta parties, which include a wide range of made-to-order entrees from low-fat or regular cheese tortellini with light tomato Parmesan sauce to bowtie pasta with smoked salmon, spinach and fresh dill cream sauce. Guests can choose from organic whole-wheat pasta with sundried tomato pesto sauce or three-cheese vegetable Neapolitan lasagna, among others. Pasta parties include fresh Caesar salad and housemade garlic bread and dinner rolls.

The cocktail party menu features 13 hot and 13 cold gourmet hors d’oeuvres from a variety of cuisines around the world. Party hosts and hostesses typically choose six passed hors d’oeuvres offerings for their guests.

Mr. Omelette’s catering services include a fresh-fruit smoothie bar and espresso/cappuccino stations. The espresso-cappuccino bar uses the finest Lavazza brand espresso beans. Professional baristas prepare guests’ choices of espresso, cappuccino or latte drinks from top-of-the-line La Cimbali espresso machines. Brewed coffee and a selection of gourmet teas and Ghirardelli hot chocolate are also offered.

The smoothie bar is a tasty and healthful party option for all ages. Smoothies are made with the highest quality seasonal fruits and are naturally low in fat. One popular made-to-order menu item is the Mango Tango Smoothie, a blend of fresh mangos, mango nectar, nonfat yogurt, cranberry juice, honey and ice.
