Sabadell United Keymorada Invitational Fly-Spin Tournament Brings Together Florida Legal Community to Benefit the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America

The Sabadell United Keymorada Invitational Fly-Spin Tournament will be held on May 4-7, 2010 at Hawks Cay Resort in the Florida Keys, and will be benefiting the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA).

Miami, FL, April 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Each May, fishing enthusiasts descend on the Florida Keys with rods and reels to cast their lines for charity at the Sabadell United Keymorada Invitational Fly-Spin Tournament, benefiting the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA). Co-founders Mitchell E. Widom and his brother, Glenn L. Widom, attorneys at the law firms of Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP and Glenn L. Widom PA, respectively, will once again lead the tournament, which is scheduled to be held May 4-7, 2010, at Hawks Cay Resort in the Florida Keys.

The annual fishing tournament was the brainchild of Mitchell and Glenn after Mitchell’s daughter, Taylor, was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. Since 2005, the tournament has raised awareness, and funded research and education initiatives to help find a cure for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. This year, more than 332 law firms throughout Florida and the U.S. participated in this event, and with the events other sponsors have raised more than $330,000 for the CCFA. The event’s five-year fundraising total is more than 2 million dollars making it the most successful fundraising event for the CCFA in Florida. In addition to participation in the tournament, law firms are encouraged to participate in the LexisNexis Law Firm Challenge by contributing tax-deductible donations to the tournament. All donations and proceeds directly benefit the CCFA in their continuing efforts to find a cure for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. For the fifth consecutive year, the law firm of Grossman Roth was named the 2010 LexisNexis Keymorada Law Firm Challenge Grand Champion.

Recognized by the CCFA as the "Most Unique Event in the Country," the Sabadell United Keymorada Invitational Fly-Spin Tournament is also the one of the organization's most successful fundraising events in the country. For their efforts, Mitchell and Glenn Widom were recently named "Fundraisers of the Year.”
