Eau Claire, WI, May 05, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- Brown Bag Parties by Dee, along with other local Eau Claire, Wisconsin home party plan vendors have hosted their first ever quarter auction. The auction took place at 29 Pines in Eau Claire. There were 11 vendors in attendance. Each vendor had a table set up to talk with guests about their products. Vendors offered up items to auction for themselves along with several charity auctions to benefit the local women’s shelter.
The auction brought in over 100 participants. Eau Claire has never held a quarter auction before and many participants commented on the fun they had and were willing to come and participate again.
“It was a lot of work, but well worth the effort put into it,” commented Deanna Lukes, owner of Brown Bag Parties by Dee, “All of the vendors worked very hard to make this event as successful as it was. We plan on hosting another quarter auction sometime in the near future.”
Quarter auctions are a great way to raise money for charity. Each item up for auction is new and auctions off for $1 or less. Funds raised from this auction for the local charity were over $200.
