PUPP is Now PAWS

PUPP, a 501c3 nonprofit in New York City, has changed its name to PAWS to better reflect an ongoing partnership with PAWS San Francisco.

New York, NY, May 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The PUPP Board of Directors has announced that PUPP has officially changed its name to PAWS (Pets Are Wonderful Support). This change reflects a partnership with PAWS San Francisco, an organization that has been providing services to pets and their people for 24 years. PAWS SF senior staff have been mentors to PUPP since the PUPP's founding in 2008.

PUPP's name may be changing to PAWS, but the organization's mission remains the same: to help people care for their pets when physical, financial and other barriers prevent them from providing adequate care on their own - helping people by helping pets.

New York City residents having trouble caring for their pet(s) can now receive direct assistance from PAWS NY.

PAWS NY's mission is to promote the general health and well-being of underserved individuals through the provision of pet care assistance. PAWS' goal is to advance wellness by maintaining and strengthening the bonds between these individuals and their animal companions.
