Marketing Workshop Scheduled for Montgomery County Non-Profits

Rockville, MD, May 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Montgomery Alliance for Community Giving www.montgomeryalliance.org has scheduled another in its workshop series to help Montgomery County’s non-profit organizations reach their maximum potential.

21st Century Marketing to Keep Your Non-Profit Out of the Red is scheduled for 8:30 to 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 18 at Hughes Network Systems, 11717 Exploration Lane, Germantown, MD 20874.

Admission is free for representatives of non-profit agencies and organizations; advance registration is required. The workshops are presented as part of Montgomery Alliance’s mission to help local agencies with education and information, in addition to funding.

“Montgomery Alliance wants to help its non-profit colleagues make sure they’re getting the best return for their marketing dollars,” says Montgomery Alliance President Harriet Guttenberg. “The tightening economy and changing technologies have challenged many non-profits; updating their marketing efforts can lead to increased donations and growth.”

The program will be presented by Robyn Quinter, President of Quinter Design, and former marketing director and publicist. Topics to be discussed include traditional and hi-tech ways to generate publicity, identifying a target audience, innovative designs for collateral and contemporary ideas for fundraising.

Montgomery Alliance plans additional programs on other issues to assist non-profit organizations, including grant-writing skills and specialized legal concerns.
