Direct Selling Women’s Alliance (DSWA) Announces Award Winners at Annual Celebration Gala

Seven major companies and individuals recognized for their outstanding contributions

Kailua, HI, May 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Direct Selling Women’s Alliance (www.DSWA.org) is pleased to announce the companies and individuals that were honored at its annual Celebration conference and gala dinner on April 24th, 2010 at the Westin LAX in Los Angeles, CA.

“The honorees are incredible this year,” said Nicki Keohohou, CEO and co-founder of the DSWA. “These individuals and companies all exemplify excellence in their work. Each and every one of them went above-and-beyond the call of duty and provided our members with unique skills, resources and inspiration that made them stand out from the crowd.”

The 2010 awards presented by the DSWA included:

Alliance Partner of the Year –Go Solo, Robert Graves, Solutions Development Manager. This award is given to the individual and vendor company that has contributed to the success of the members of DSWA. Robert has traveled to chapter meetings around the country and shared how the Go Solo tele-communications system can save direct sellers time and money while simplifying their lives.

The 2010 Share and Care Award – Thirty-One, Cindy Monroe, President and Founder. This award is given to the company who shares the DSWA Celebration through offering a connecting conference, or joining in DSWA festivities with a group of their own. A long-term member of the DSWA, Thirty-One had more distributors in attendance at events than any other company.

Corporate Ambassador of the Year– Norwex Enviro Products, Debbie Bolton, North America CEO. Norwex’s (originated in Norway) mission is to improve quality of life by radically reducing the use of chemicals in personal care and cleaning by providing environmentally friendly products around the globe. Norwex referred more independent distributors to join the DSWA than any other DSWA member company in 2009 - 2010. Their dedication to the education of their sales force is a big part of their unique culture.

The 2010 DSWA Visionary Award – IMN, Michelle Larter, Market Manager for the Direct Selling Industry. The Visionary Award is coveted among individuals and companies that provide resources, tools and otherwise support the direct selling profession with unique products or services.

2010 DSWA Speaker of the Year – Mary McLoughlin, Speaker and Coach. Mary, the DSWA’s Midwest Chapter Coordinator and a graduate of the DSWA Coach Excellence School, referred more members to the DSWA than any other speaker member. Mary’s passion for the profession shines through in all she does.

2010 Direct Selling Profession Dedication Award - Dana and Neil Phillips. Dana and Neil Phillips were awarded this distinction for their insight and dedication to the direct selling profession by bringing the DSWA’s Principle-Centered Coaching program to a new level. They worked tirelessly with the DSWA to create the Coach Excellence School, the only Worldwide Association of Business Coaches accredited school in the world with an emphasis on direct selling. http://dswa.org/coach_excellence.asp

Spirit of DSWA – Story Time Felts, Awnya Boam, Distributor. Awnya, Chapter President of the Wasatch Front/Salt Lake City Chapter and a member of the DSWA Diversity Center’s group for those 30 & younger, exemplifies the spirit of the organization through her enthusiasm, commitment to the profession, and dedication to continual personal growth.

“I was blown away at how phenomenal the event was,” said Erika Taylor Montgomery, the DSWA’s new public relations agency partner and first-time Celebration attendee. “I made more great connections than I could have imagined. Since Celebration I’ve had the chance to reconnect with several people I met and am looking forward to keeping those relationships going throughout the year.” Taylor Montgomery was invited by the DSWA executive team to attend the 2010 Celebration to lead a round-table discussion on marketing and to have a booth at the expo.
