Sport Science Lab Sponsors Mike Sheehy’s Run at Guinness Book Record for LLS

Sport Science Lab is sponsoring Mike Sheehy’s 350 mile run attempting to set the Guinness Book World’s Record for LLS.

San Juan Capistrano, CA, May 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In order to raise awareness and money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and their fight against cancer, Mike Sheehy will attempt to run more miles in seven days—350—than anyone else has ever run.

Commencing on May 30, 2010, Mike will run 60 miles a day for seven days straight, culminating with the San Diego Rock N Roll Marathon on June 6th—Team In Training’s premier event.

Sport Science Lab, the premier and unconventional sports performance training methodology, is proud to be one of Mike Sheehy’s sponsors. Sport Science Lab (SSL) will also be providing some training to Mike to help him prepare for his record breaking attempt.

Additionally, SSL is offering a special Runners Pack, to help endurance runners strengthen their feet, with 30% of the proceeds being donated to LLS.

As Mike Sheehy and all endurance runners know, the feet are the only part of the body that touches the ground. In a regular marathon, the runners feet take thousands of steps. In Mike’s attempt at the record of 350 miles, his feet will be taking tens of thousands of steps. And yet the feet are summarily ignored by all conventional training methodologies.
