Columbus, OH, May 27, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- On Saturday, May 15th, the team members of Fission Inc got together to help volunteer for Komen Columbus, which is an affiliate of Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Fission’s commitment and passion for helping others truly showed the morning of the race. It’s always a great thing to show support by racing, but often times this organization does not have enough people to help run the show. Therefore, the team members of Fission Inc became the “Information Ambassadors” for the race. They helped direct racers and supporters throughout the entire event. Their team helped with the biggest race thus far in Columbus with over 50,000 racers.
About Komen Columbus:
The Columbus Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® began in 1993 by a group of motivated and hardworking volunteers. That same passion, carried on throughout the years by thousands of volunteers and dedicated board and staff members, has sustained Komen Columbus and enabled us to raise more than $13 million to support breast cancer education, screening and treatment. Their Mission is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures. Up to 75 percent of the Affiliate’s net income goes toward funding grants to local hospitals and community organizations that provide breast health education, breast cancer screening, and treatment programs for medically underserved women.
The staff members of Fission pride themselves on creating an environment where everyone, who is a part of their company, is passionate about working hard and having the freedom to play hard.
