AAUCM and IMEP Partner Together to Provide CME for AAUCM Members

AAUCM has joined together with IMEP to provide AAUCM members online medical emergency preparedness through IMEP Medical Emergency Membership.

Orlando, FL, May 28, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine (AAUCM), in its goal to provide high-quality Continuing Medical Education materials for its members, has joined together with the Institute of Medical Emergency Preparedness (IMEP) to provide AAUCM members online medical emergency preparedness through IMEP Medical Emergency Membership.

The first ten minutes following a medical emergency are critical to an individual's chances for survival. The IMEP membership enhances a healthcare office’s preparedness to manage the medical emergency in those crucial moments. AAUCM members will have the opportunity to earn up to 50 hours of Continuing Medical Education each year through the IMEP online CME program.

Through its CME programs, the AAUCM works to define the scope of the specialty of Urgent Care Medicine, increasing provider expertise within the field and developing standards of practice. Because patients with a wide variety of medical needs utilize Urgent Care centers, physicians working in these centers require broad experience and education. Through the IMEP online CME program, AAUCM members will be able to increase their medical emergency awareness and develop the skills and abilities necessary to contend with medical emergency situations.
