Author, Angela Connor, Wins Pritchett & Hull's 2010 Health Care Education Week Publishing Contest

Angela Connor’s story, To Kill a Nonprofit, will help nonprofit leaders “do good” with less.

Atlanta, GA, June 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- With donations dwindling in the economic downturn, many nonprofits are being forced to do more with less. And for those looking to “do good,” the path has never looked more difficult. As the resources for conferences and other learning opportunities are lost, the demand for low-cost professional development opportunities for nonprofit leaders has never been greater.

After witnessing first-hand the struggles nonprofit organizations face in regard
to leadership, strategic decision-making, and a variety of other issues that threaten the “life” of a non-profit, and having successfully guided many nonprofit organizations through these issues, Angela Connor decided to propose a low-cost, learning opportunity to help nonprofit leaders develop the skills and resources to successfully manage their organizations. In 2011, she’ll get her chance to publish it.

Angela Connor is the winner of the 2010 Health Care Education Week Publishing Contest for her entry, To Kill a Nonprofit. The author’s gift for storytelling and proven track record of success in teaching nonprofit leaders to build purposeful, successful and sustainable organizations helped her win the contest. To Kill a Nonprofit tells a fictional story about a group of nonprofit leaders and how they learn to overcome their unique personal and professional challenges.

The Health Care Education Week Publishing Contest was a joint initiative between publishing group, Pritchett & Hull Associates, Inc. and the Health Care Education Association to encourage educators to pursue publication and share their creative solutions to positively affect the next generation of health care professionals and the future of health care. The contest was open to all HCEA members and sponsored by Pritchett & Hull.
