Elmwood Park, NJ, June 11, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- In the past year, Elevated Existence Magazine, a digital, spiritual magazine with a self-help focus, has featured interviews with singer and actress Olivia Newton-John; founder of Hay House publishing and best-selling author, Louise Hay; co-founder of The Chopra Center, Dr. David Simon; and best-selling author Don Miguel Ruiz – all with the intention of providing readers with the information and tools needed to improve their lives.
“Our goal is to give subscribers access to people and events that they might not otherwise read about or attend,” said Tammy Mastroberte, founder, publisher and editorial director of Elevated Existence. “For instance, we feature a nine-page article this issue with coverage of the Omega NYC conference, including workshops with best-selling authors Debbie Ford, Sonia Choquette, Elizabeth Lesser and Byron Katie.”
Elevated Existence launched in June 2008 with Deepak Chopra on the cover, and an exclusive story on The Chopra Center Renewal Weekend in New York, and within the first year of publishing, won a bronze Folio: Magazine award for Best Single Article in the Spiritual and Religious consumer magazine category, and a Certificate of Excellence from the Art Director’s Club of New Jersey.
“We offer a variety of spiritual and self-help topics including a law of attraction column, an angel column and healing corner, which highlights different alternative healing practices,” Mastroberte said. “But we also like to bring the not-so-usual-suspects into each issue, including spiritual celebrities.”
The second anniversary issue released this month features a cover story interview with actor Patrick Muldoon, who most people know from the television show “Melrose Place” or from movies, but he is also a songwriter on his own spiritual path, which he expresses through his music. The issue also offers an interview with New York publicist and reality television star Kelly Cutrone about her new book, “If You Have to Cry, Go Outside.” Cutrone appears on Bravo in the show “Kell on Earth,” and on the MTV Network’s hit series “The City.
“Both Patrick and Kelly are perfect examples of thinking outside the box when it comes to featured interviews,” Mastroberte explained. “Patrick was voted one of People magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful people, but there is so much more to him than his looks, and Kelly may come across on television as abrasive or tough, but she wrote an amazingly inspirational and spiritual book with the hope of helping young women. I want to portray more than the typical spiritual authors and their teachings.”
