Capita Conferences Announces Details of Their Annual Children Leaving Care Conference

Capita’s 3rd National Leaving Care Conference will look at effective advice and support for young care leavers around finance, health, accommodation, education, training and employment.

London, United Kingdom, June 18, 2010 --(PR.com)-- It is fundamental that tailored services are in place to help professionals plan ahead to ensure a good start for the six thousand young people that leave care every year. This can only be achieved through successful partnerships between the main agencies and young people themselves.

Capita’s Leaving Care Conference addresses key issues in this area, including:

- Understanding the expectations and prospects of children leaving care in the context of the new Government
- Analysing inconsistencies in benefit support and guiding young people through the benefit system
- Helping young people into employment and examining employers’ perspectives on engaging care leavers
- Legal advice on protecting and safeguarding issues
- Ensuring high quality housing provision that meets all care leavers’ needs
