Less than two years ago, 48-year-old Betty Jordan had a motorcycle accident involving a semi on Interstate 65 in Indianapolis. Her first surgery lasted over 4 hours and required over 40 units of blood. 18 subsequent surgeries have resulted in the amputation of both of her legs from the knee down.

Betty has worked in the veterinary and animal rescue field for many years. Her goal is to continue to heal from ongoing health concerns related to her injuries, obtain her prosthetic legs and an ATV, and return (in some manner) to training dogs with the Indiana Search and Recovery team. Betty would also love to return to riding with the help of training wheels. Betty and her husband Ted help many people and groups throughout the community, and driver safety issues are the prime focus of their awareness campaigns.

Sponsorships and Donations Include
Costumes By Margie, Chewy’s on the Inside, Indiana Search and Recovery Group, Abate of Indiana, IRC Music, Arthur's Music, WFBQ, Cleis Design and many generous private volunteers.
