New York, NY, June 23, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- The Knowledge Group/The Knowledge Congress Live Webcast Series, the leading producer of regulatory focused webcasts, announced today that it has scheduled a live webcast entitled: “403 (b) Plans FORM 5500 Schedule C: New Compliance Challenges”. This two-hour event is scheduled on July 22, 2010 at 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM ET.
In an effort to improve transparency, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation (PBGC) and the Department of Labor (DOL) have published final regulations that require that all 403(b) Plans subject to ERISA file the same schedules as is the case for other plans subject to ERISA such as 401(a) and 401(k) Plans including Schedule C.
Some of the key new disclosure required:
- Applies to plans of 100+ participants where fees of $5,000+ were paid to service providers.
- Service Provider/Sponsor relationship
- Total direct & indirect compensation
There’s much to know about this new important change - failure to comply could result in major fines and penalties. The Knowledge Group has assembled a panel of key experts and thought leaders to help you understand the new disclosures and how to properly complete the questions on Form 5500. Reserve your slot now and have the chance to ask your questions to their panel, live. Advanced registration is recommended as space is limited.
