Norwood Flight Academy Expanded Its Fleet and High End Training

Norwood, MA, June 26, 2010 --(PR.com)-- On June 24th, Norwood Flight Academy announced it expanded its fleet and high end training with a new high performance aircraft and program. New England’s premiere flight school has just acquired the first and only Cessna Skylane Turbo Aircraft with on board, build in oxygen system available for rental in New England.

The Cessna T182T esteemed by pilots as stable, high altitude aircraft. This aircraft has less than 400 hours and an agile climb performance at 1,039 feet-per-minute thanks to its turbo power plant, the TIO-540-AK1A. The advanced slope-controlled turbocharger enables this hard-charger to ascend up and over unfriendly weather, terrain and traffic, as well as take advantage of more favorable winds. It is equipped with a three bladed propeller and the on board build in oxygen system. The Turbo Skylane carries full-rated power all the way to a max operating altitude of 20,000 feet (6,096 m) where pilots can cruise the clear, smooth air at speeds of up to 176 knots.

Norwood Flight Academy has the T182T available for rental after a five hour transition. The plane will be used for NOFA’s newly developed “Class A training Operations” curriculum.

Norwood Flight Academy uses a real world approach to learning, providing students with a rich set of aviation experiences to complement their training. NOFA's slogan is, "Mastering the Art of Aviation", intended to signify their commitment to excellence.
