RFID Industry Association Maps the RFID Ecosystem

Dallas, TX, December 11, 2006 --(PR.com)-- RFID Tribe has created an online map of the worldwide RFID industry. The map depicts the RFID industry ecosystem and the community of RFID-related organizations through an interactive display.

The interactive map tool enables those searching for RFID organizations to find the type of organization that fits their needs. Individuals around the world use the map to find partners, vendors, suppliers, universities, associations and employers in the RFID community.

“I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area - the RFID map in the north Texas area is densely populated with RFID-related organizations,” said Mark Johnson, president of RFID Tribe. “These organizations represent a vibrant community – end users of RFID technology, universities performing RFID research and vendors of RFID products and services. RFID Tribe is pleased to play a role in developing the RFID community throughout the world,” he continued.

Powerful search tools allow map users to find organizations using keywords that are important to their search – keywords such as logistics, healthcare, defense, asset and tags. The RFID organization map allows users to quickly focus their search filtering organizations by type and by geography. Map users click through to an organization’s website to receive complete and up—to-date information and to find a relevant point of contact for further inquiries.

"The RFID organization map is an excellent idea. At the University of Texas Arlington's RF Innovation & Technology Research Center, we work with a variety of RFID companies helping develop new RFID product technologies,” said Richard Billo, Ph.D. and Associate Dean of Engineering Research at the University of Texas Arlington. “The RFID organization map provides an easy mechanism to quickly identify and locate different companies in various regions of the U.S. This is an excellent resource to us," he continued.

The RFID organization map is an interactive, dynamically changing tool that continues to grow with the RFID industry. “RFID Tribe members have been very active in placing organizations on the map – we could not provide this map without the community members adding organizations and making suggestions for map features,” added Mark Johnson.

RFID Tribe receives many questions regarding the RFID industry; “Which organization is in my geography can meet my specific need?” or “Which organizations are actively using RFID technology?” The RFID organization map provides direction and assistance to quickly find organizations in the RFID industry.
