Dorot Control Valves Tapped as the Choice Supplier in Major Water Control Project in UK

Fresno, CA, July 03, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Dorot Control Valves was tapped to be the premier supplier to replace needle valves for Northumbrian Water LTD in the Gosforth Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK location.

This two–phase project is set to improve pressure management – the reliable and stable electronic control over pressures in the water network, using the client main control center. This feat will significantly reduce water loss, reduce pipe breaks, and improve pressure stability. The first phase will include the installation of two 24-inch control valves with an electronic controller, along with several smaller diameter valves, which will control main water lines in the network. The second phase includes installing additional valves and replacing all Motorized Plug Valves. Dorot supplied a total of six valves.

This exceptional project was custom-made to the client’s specifications, a special undertaking. Two particularly noteworthy details are: in the case of an electric system failure, Dorot installed Pilot valves for securing normal functioning within the normal pressure regulation range; and the client can monitor pressure valve in the system’s critical point, using its telemetric system to keep pressure minimal and steady. All of these specifications are to the extreme delight of the client.

Northumbrian Water Limited serves a population of 2.6 million people in north east England, with water and sewage services, and 1.8 million in south east England where it provides water services trading as Essex & Suffolk Water.
