Keeping the North West Mobile for 25 Years - Multicare Mobility & Stair Lift Services

Mobility company Multicare are moving forward with the launch of a sparkling new website in celebration of their silver anniversary.

Manchester, United Kingdom, July 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Colne based company was created 25 years ago by local lads Martin Baldwin and John Metcalfe who had been childhood friends. Both qualified and experienced engineers they were looking for an opportunity to start up their own business.

Martin Baldwin, Joint Director at Multicare said: “We saw a gap in the market for good value affordable mobility products, particularly in the North West. The company was the first of its kind to open in the area and one of only a few in the country.”

Multicare provides and installs mobility products including stairlifts, scooters, riser/recliners, wheelchairs, bath lifts and living aids to individuals and councils all over the North West covering Lancashire, Cumbria and Yorkshire. The company focuses on supplying high quality but affordable products both new and pre-used, and offers easy payment options and rental schemes to assist with this.

During its 25 years, Multicare has grown significantly. The team has increased from 2 to 16 full-time employees and in 1995 the company moved into its own purpose-built unit on North Valley Road, Colne, with a large showroom and plenty of customer parking including spacious disabled bays.

Martin said: “We are proud that we have seen 25 very successful years in business and accept the need to do something differently in order to continue to grow and remain competitive. We have previously relied on traditional advertising but are now certain that the website will become one of our main tools and take our business to the next level.

The website gives details of all of Muticare’s product ranges and service packages, allowing visitors to browse and gain information on individual items. It will also include testimonials and case studies from past customers and video demonstrations of products in use, all designed to help reassure new customers.

John Metcalfe, Joint Director at Multicare said: “We are by no means replacing the personal customer service which we pride ourselves on, there is always someone at the end of the phone to personally see an enquiry through and our service lines are open 24/7. We also pride ourselves on going the extra mile offering services such as customer collection to bring them to the showroom.

“But experience has taught us that many customers are nervous about dealing with someone initially, concerned to avoid the pushy approach which our industry has a reputation for. By providing details of all our products and services online we are allowing customers time to build confidence in us and research our products.”

John added: “The business is now seeing the second generation of our families joining and we hope the website will reinforce our position as first choice for mobility in the North West and continue for another 25 years.”
