200,000 Patients Screened by Wockhardt Foundation Within 200 Days

Mumbai, India, July 18, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Dedication and perseverance pays off, and it very well did for a team of doctors from Wockhardt Foundation. With 2 lakh patients medically screened for various ailments, doctors from Wockhardt Foundation have set themselves a new benchmark.

Wockhardt Foundation has a concept of Mobile Medical Units, which comprises of its Mobile Health Reach & Right to Vision vans.

When the Mobile Medical Unit set its course for pan India at the beginning of 2010, it was enveloped by a plethora of patients wherever the unit touched. July was the month, which held the benchmark of 2 lakh patients medically screened for the year.

Under the Mobile Medical Health programme, vans reach at the doorstep of the underprivileged, conducting medical examination, distributing free medicines and nutritional supplements to patients.

Under the "Right To Vision" programme, free mobile eye clinics take eye screening at the doorstep, thus playing a critical role in preventing blindness.
