RE/MAX Commercial Top 10 for Year's 1st Half Led by Associates from Southwest Suburbs in Metro Chicago Real Estate Market

Elgin, IL, July 19, 2010 --( Sales associates at offices in the southwest suburbs of the metropolitan Chicago real estate market were heavily represented in the RE/MAX Northern Illinois commercial real estate rankings for the first half of 2010. Tim Tynan of RE/MAX 10, Palos Park, Ill., and Al Vallejo of RE/MAX TEAM 2000, Orland Park, Ill., led the way, with six others from the southwest suburbs, including five from Orland Park, claiming spots in the mid-year Top 10.

Vallejo leads the top ranked sales team (a team involves the combined efforts of two or more licensed agents). Tynan is the sales leader among agents who are the sole licensed contributors to their sales production. Rankings are based on commissions earned.

“The first half of the year saw our associates in both the southwest suburbs and in areas outside metropolitan Chicago command a dominant share of our commercial transactions, especially when compared to recent years. The number of associates from the southwest suburbs in our team and individual Top 10 rankings nearly doubled from a year earlier, and those based outside the metro area tripled their representation,” said Jim Merrion, regional director of the RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network. “RE/MAX associates are a versatile group, and many work with both residential and commercial properties. The number of associates doing so has increased in the last two years as more investors have been attracted to the market for distressed properties in both the residential and commercial sectors.”
