B-TEK Scales Fabricates Custom Scale for GM Lordstown, Ohio Plant and the New Cruze

Canton, OH, July 24, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In conjunction with B-TEK Scales, Brechbuhler Scales’ branch in Youngstown, Ohio worked directly with the GM plant in Lordstown, Ohio, to design a scale for the audit/quality control department. The Lordstown Plant is manufacturing the new Cruze sedan in the GM fleet. B-TEK Scales fabricated a custom dual ramp scale with approaches and custom columns to house the indicator and printer. The scale is also lit from the inside to provide illumination to the underside of the Cruze vehicle for inspections.

The new GM Cruze is a keystone in the new image from GM North America. It is expected to fair well, with a price tag starting under $17,000.00, a 40 mile per gallon on highway gas mileage and sharp design.

B-TEK Scale has created many custom solutions for auto manufacturers. Assisting the GM plant with the design of the scale to help the Youngstown plant gear up for the production of the new Cruze was a perfect match.
