Olympic Gold Medalist Curt Tomasevicz to Speak at Hoegemeyer Homecoming Field Day Aug. 12

The annual Hoegemeyer Homecoming Field Day draws hundreds of growers from across the western Corn Belt to Nebraska.

Hooper, NE, August 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Olympic bobsled gold medalist and Nebraska native Curt Tomasevicz will speak at this year’s Hoegemeyer Homecoming Field Day Aug. 12 at Hooper, Nebraska.

Tomasevicz, a former Nebraska football player, helped his bobsled team bring home the gold at the 2010 Winter Olympics. His speech, “Finding Your Own Personal Success,” will provide insight on how to find success in our everyday lives and careers. Tomasevicz will also sign autographs after his 1 p.m. presentation.

The annual Hoegemeyer Homecoming Field Day draws hundreds of growers from across the western Corn Belt to Hooper, Nebraska, home of Hoegemeyer Hybrids. The daylong event, which is free, includes tours of Hoegemeyer seed plots and facilities, farm equipment displays, raffles, a kid zone, and special discounts on Hoegemeyer Hybrids seed. Lunch also will be provided.

Hoegemeyer agronomists and product managers will be on hand throughout the day to provide details on Hoegemeyer products and answer questions from growers.

Other speakers during the event, which runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., include Dr. Elwynn Taylor, professor of agricultural meteorology at Iowa State University, and Dr. Tom Hoegemeyer, chief technology officer, Hoegemeyer Hybrids.
