Fuentek Names Julie Markoski Technology Transfer Consultant

As a consultant, Markoski uses her industry knowledge to screen and assess new technologies for their commercialization potential. Markoski was a co-founder of INI Power Systems, a fuel cell research and development company launched in 2002 and served as vice president of operations. Prior to the launch of INI Power Systems, Markoski interned with the Technology Transfer Office at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), where she analyzed the commercial potential of university inventions.

- In 2001, Markoski and her team received the first place award in the V. Dale Cozad Business Plan Competition at UIUC for ChroMax Chromatography Solutions.

- Markoski received her doctoral degree in chemistry and her master’s of business administration from UIUC.

- She received her Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry at William and Mary College in Williamsburg, Va., and her master’s degree in science in chemistry from UIUC.

- A native of Williamsburg, Markoski resides in Raleigh with her husband, Larry, and their three children.
