London, United Kingdom, August 18, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Anil Gupta, INSEAD Chair and Professor of Strategy, will present new academic research entitled "The Emergence of China and India as the New Innovation Hubs" at SuperReturn Asia 2010, 28 – 30 September at the JW Marriott hotel, Hong Kong.

Dr Gupta, recognised as one of the world’s leading experts on strategy and globalisation, will contrast the approaches of domestic businesses like Huawei technology and Tata Motors, and global players like IBM and Proctor & Gamble when leveraging the innovative platforms in the emerging markets of China and India.

In the wake of the global economic crisis, Asia has emerged stronger than ever, and is uniquely placed to consolidate that position while Europe and the US continue to experience weak domestic markets. Dr Gupta’s insights from his most recent book entitled “Getting China and India Right” have never been more valuable.

SuperReturn Asia, the premium event in the private equity and venture capital industry for the region, has solicited Dr Gupta specifically to address the factors affecting business innovation, why the East is taking the lead and what that means for the global community.

“Focusing on China or India purely as opportunities for off-shoring and cost reduction, results in many missed opportunities for growth by international players,” says Dr Gupta. “SuperReturn Asia brings together leaders with the power to shape a company’s future direction who must grapple with everything from changing mindsets, adapting organisations and reinventing everything from global strategies to innovation sources. It is critical that they do not underestimate the ambitions of their Asian counterparts.”
