)-- The 14th Annual Saint Augustine Senior/Retirement Expo will be held on Saturday, October 23rd at Ponce de Leon Mall. Local Radio Station sponsors big event.
Retirement is on a lot of baby boomer’s minds lately & Saint Augustine is rolling out the “red carpet” for the 50+ age group looking to decide on a location to retire. Saint Augustine offers the sun, beaches, dozens of golf courses, “the oldest City in the United States” - which was established in 1565, shopping malls, historic sites, and tourist attractions such as: the formidable fort- Castillo de San Marcos overlooking the water just outside the city gates, the San Sebastian Winery, the World Golf Hall of Fame at the World Golf Village, the Lightner Museum, the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse in the USA, the St. Augustine Lighthouse, the Alligator Farm, the legendary Ponce de Leon Fountain of Youth, a trolley tour of Old City for an intriguing look at the country’s first permanent European settlement and the oddities of the Ripley’s Believe it Not Museum.
