Orbus Exhibit & Display Group Achieves G7 Certification

Orbus Exhibit & Display Group is among the first to attain the specification for G7 digital printing. While G7 has been widely used and respected in the commercial printing field, it is fairly new to the inkjet industry.

Bolingbrook, IL, August 28, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Orbus Exhibit & Display Group is proud to announce it has achieved the G7 Master Print specification. With over 10 state-of-the-art printers, Orbus provides graphics that complement its line of hardware products. The company specializes in printing graphics for trade show products such as banner stands, pop-ups, light boxes, dye-sub fabric displays and truss displays, yet can create graphics for nearly any application.

Orbus Exhibit & Display Group is among the first to attain the specification for G7 digital printing. While G7 has been widely used and respected in the commercial printing field, it is fairly new to the inkjet industry.

G7 specifies the components of an image that define a similar "visual appearance" to the human eye. TheG7 specification:

- Defines a color metric definition for gray balance
- Specifies gray balance in the midtones, image weight and image contrast from the highlights to the shadows are the factors that determine likeness of the visual appearance of an image
- Defines the ideal colorimetric black and CMY gray-tone curves for an image
- Specifies a step-by-step method for calibrating proofing systems and printers to these tone curves

“Consistent, accurate color from different print devices is extremely important to us and our clients; G7 has made that a reality for us,” said Aaron Kozar, Vice President of Graphics for Orbus Exhibit & Display Group. “We offer UV, dye sub and solvent graphic options on a wide variety of medias, so consist visual appearance can be a challenge. The G7 specification has allowed us to not only produce similar visual appearances with our processes internally, but also with other G7 printers in the offset and screen industry.”

Creating similar visual appearance is only part of the benefit with G7, high quality and accurate color also become very apparent. Orbus Exhibit & Display Group is proud to be a part of select group of printers throughout the world that can produce consistent, high quality graphics with accurate color to the G7 specification.
