The aforementioned manufacturer had first come into contact with Innovation Direct™ earlier in 2010, when they expressed additional interest in a product idea from the company's invention roster after having reviewed preliminary information about it. After receiving additional information about the Innovation Direct To Industry™ program from Innovation Direct™ representatives, the company agreed to receive and review new product idea information from Innovation Direct™ on an ongoing basis.
