soOlis.com Partners with Augie’s Quest

soOlis.com has committed to donate a percentage of advertising sales to help Augie Nieto reach his 30 million dollar goal for ALS research.

Nashville, TN, September 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Augie Nieto has helped shape the Health and Fitness Industry through his leadership, dedication, and commitment to excellence. In 1975, Augie helped launch Lifecycle by traveling the country selling the original Lifecycle to gyms and health clubs from a motor home. Augie sold Lifecycle when revenue reached $7 million a year and continued to run the company as it grew into Life Fitness, one of the world’s largest fitness equipment manufactures. Under his watch, revenue hit nearly $200 million by 1997 before the company was sold again for $310 million.

Ironically in 2005, besides being named as Chairman of Octane Fitness, this unbelievable fitness entrepreneur was diagnosed with ALS, Lou Gehrig’s disease. The man, who spent most of his life helping people become fit, was now fighting for his own life. Sincere Augie was diagnosed; he set out to generate 30 million dollars for ALS research. It is not surprising to learn that in just 5 years, Augie has helped raise over 23 million dollars.

Speaking with Tim Sebold, VP of Sales and Marketing at soOlis.com, “I met Augie October 12, 1989, my first day at Life Fitness and it just happened to be Club Industry. Augie personally took me around and showed be every Life Fitness Product, which at that time was only the Lifecycle, Lifestep and LifeRower. His passion and commitment was unlike anything I had seen before. It was contagious; he pushed you to be the best. Therefore, it is not surprising to see that same passion and commitment to fighting ALS. At soOlis.com, we are honored to work with Augie’s Quest."
