Durham, NC, January 02, 2007 --(PR.com
)-- Raven Manocchio, principle and business director for Stop Studios, has announced that the firm is working to develop a local chapter of O2, an international network for sustainable design. Stop Studios is currently serving as the organization’s liaison for North Carolina and the Southeast. The Triangle chapter will focus on supporting local businesses interested in sustainable design and providing them with resources and networking opportunities.
“We are excited to take this opportunity to work with such an outstanding organization,” said Manocchio. “The efforts of O2 are commendable, and I am honored to have the opportunity to contribute to the fulfillment of its mission.”
O2 is a global network that promotes sustainability in a design context. The network involves individuals with a background in industrial design, architecture, styling, graphic design, arts, fashion and innovation, as well as those from universities, public authorities, companies or knowledge centers. O2 was created as a place where the non-profit and the commercial, individuals and groups, visionaries and pragmatics are all linked together to help make the connection between design choices and the impact they could potentially create.
