Colvin & Co.'s Farmland Outlook for 2010 and Beyond Conference

Anoka, MN, September 13, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Colvin & Co. LLC cordially invites the public to attend the Farmland Outlook for 2010 and Beyond conference on September 20, 2010 at The Allerton Hotel in Chicago, Illinois. The conference is an exclusive event, open to the public at No Cost.

The conference will address the world’s growing demand for grains and the developing agriculture boom over the next decade. Rapid population and economic growth in emerging markets has driven the country’s insatiable demand for grains. Economists have long shown that as GDP rises and a middle class develops, consumption of protein also rises. The transfer to protein will have a significant impact on the demand for grain as roughly one pound of meat requires seven pounds of grain.

The confluence of higher demand for food and feed grains together with constraints on the supply of high quality land will create an opportunity for steady returns from investments in agricultural land. In addition, while inflation is at historically low levels, U.S. monetary policy and fiscal conditions could pose risks of higher future inflation. Farmland is well-suited as a hedge against inflation.

Complementing Colvin & Co.'s presentation will be two guest speakers who are highly regarded in the agriculture industry and will be presenting their views and research on farmland: David Key, Managing Director of Key & Company LLC, and Reed Kuper, Ag Real Estate Specialist of Total Realty Company.
