Homeland Security Foundation of America Marks Ninth Anniversary of 9/11 Attacks

Homeland Security Foundation of America Marks Ninth Anniversary of 9/11 Attacks, Thanks to those who participated in Community Awareness Week.

Atlanta, GA, September 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- On September 11th, the Homeland Security Foundation of America (HSFA) concluded its first Community Awareness Week. The goal of the week was to provide citizens with tips and tools to be active participants in protecting our homeland. HSFA thanks all of those who participated; and continues to encourage people to communicate with them via Twitter (www.twitter.com/rubywatch) and LinkedIn.

HSFA marks the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, and mourns the losses of so many innocent people. Then as now, no act of war or cowardice can break this nation. The organization salutes the men and women of our military, police, and fire services who selflessly put themselves on the line every day to protect our freedom and our security.

HSFA also encourages participation in a care package service project and pledge drive brought to you by The Massachusetts Military Heroes Fund. Your contributions will support active duty service members and local Gold Star military families. This event, to be held at the Mother’s Walk on the Rose Kennedy Greenway in Boston, will offer you the opportunity to give back to our community in a positive way on September 11th, now a National Day of Service and Remembrance. Activities will include building military care packages for five hundred service men and women serving overseas, writing letters of support to our troops, and a pledge drive for the families supported by the organization.

Finally, The Homeland Security Foundation of America wholeheartedly supports rights protected under the First Amendment. However the organization cautions against any action that might endanger American lives or the security of the United States.

The Homeland Security Foundation of America is a 501(c)(3) certified nonprofit organization founded in 2002. The organization focuses on public safety, energy security, health and human services, and other national security-related issues. Because the organization’s success is based on volunteerism, the Homeland Security Foundation of America requires public involvement.
