Onlineidols.com Announces Top Prize of $400

Brooklyn, NY, January 04, 2007 --(PR.com)-- OnlineIdols.com announced the winner of this month’s video talent competition would once again be awarded $400. OnlineIdols President & Founder, Yu Gu, also confirmed a second place prize of $200 and a third place prize of $100. Winners will once again be the direct result of member votes.

In just six months the site has become popular among teenaged and young adult performers across the nation with membership and page-view numbers of over two-hundred thousand each month. Members are uploading hundreds of video each month and member votes have influenced awards of over $3,000 to competition winners since August of 2006.

Members enjoy the freedom of uploading personal video and the fun of viewing and voting on video performances of all kinds. OnlineIdols member, Maddy, boasts, “The thing I really like about Online Idols is everyone has a chance...good and bad.”

Contest winners not only enjoy the cash prizes, but also appreciate the free expose. August ’06 Competition winner, Rooshi, a member of the dance group, Flow, says, OnlineIdols “helped us get our name out.”

The press has picked up on the site’s appeal, as well. Rochelle Stewart of the Boston Herald says, OnlineIdols makes it “easier for you to attain stardom,” and is “easy cash for something you love; plus, you get exposure all over the world.”

Geek.com reports, “The website is somewhat like American Idol meets YouTube, and that's not a bad combination.”

OnlineIdols host a monthly talent competition on OnlineIdols.com. Members upload personal video with the option of entering monthly talent competitions. Competition winners are selected based solely on member votes and award cash prizes.
