Local Dentists Hosting a Free Day of Dentistry with Dentistry From The Heart
Free day of dentistry is available for adults in need.
Kansas City, MO, September 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Dentistry From The Heart, a day of free dental care for those without financial resources to receive care, will take place in Blue Springs from 8am – 4pm on Saturday, October 2nd at Foster Dental Care located at 2150 NW South Outer Road, Blue Springs, MO 64015.
A team of four dentists composed of Dr. Alan Foster, Dr. Rebecca Spencer, Dr. Adam McClellan and Dr. Chris Hawkins alongside a team of volunteers will treat as many adults as possible. Each person will be able to receive one service, either a cleaning, filling or extraction. Patients will be admitted on a first come, first served basis. To be seen for treatment, adults are asked to bring a state-issued ID, list of medications, and health history.
Helping make this event possible are corporate partners McKeever Price Chopper, Vital Signs, Print Graphics, Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce and Office Depot.
“Dentistry From The Heart is our way of giving back to the community, and helping people who are in need of dental work,” said Dr. Foster. “Now more than ever, I know there are people out there that need our services, but have no means to afford them – whether they’re out of a job, or just don’t have the financial resources to get care.”
Dentistry From The Heart (DFTH) is a national non-profit organization with a simple mission – making people smile. Founded in 2001 DFTH was created to aid those in need, including the growing population of under-insured Americans. Over 100 million Americans lack dental insurance and over 29 percent of adults have untreated cavities. Without events like DFTH, dental care simply isn’t an option for many adults.
