SolAmor Hospice Volunteer Training

Become a valuable member of the Hospice Team. SolAmor is dedicated to supporting patients with terminal illness as well as family and caregivers.

Colorado Springs, CO, September 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Volunteers play an important role in providing compassionate support at the end-of-life. Currently training is being provided by professional staff for volunteers to work directly with patients, families, caregivers, and for administrative volunteers to work at the SolAmor office.

There are many ways volunteers can help SolAmor Hospice and the patients and families including, renting a movie for a patient, holding a patient's hand, giving a hand massage, painting, doing arts and crafts, reading scripture or other literature the patient appreciates, bringing a milkshake, playing cards, and having conversations about the patient's life. There are many, many ways to provide support and care.

If interested in volunteering, register soon. Training in on Monday, October 11, 2010 from 5:30-8:30pm. Contact Cristina Evans at 719-226-0091. Space is limited.
