New AMBITEX® Poly Apron Packaging Reduces Plastic Waste

Tradex introduces new packaging for its polyethylene disposable aprons aimed at reducing plastic waste.

Cleveland, OH, September 20, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Tradex International, the nation’s largest supplier of general purpose disposable gloves, today introduced new packaging for its polyethylene disposable aprons aimed at reducing plastic waste.

Poly aprons are typically individually packed in plastic bags. With Tradex’s new design, aprons are bulk packed in quantities of 50 or 100 for individual dispensing from a recyclable cardboard package.

The company estimates the annual reduction in plastic packaging, if spread out, would cover the State of Texas.

“Individual apron packaging is unnecessary,” said Saji Daniel, President and CEO of Tradex International. “The new packaging eliminates plastic packaging waste and symbolizes our ongoing commitment to improving our impact on the environment.”

All of the company’s AMBITEX® brand apron products will feature the new packaging.
