Lorence & Vander Zwart donates to First Reformed Church to extend a community-loved free concert series. The generous donation will be used to pay performers and maintain musical equipment.

Holland, MI, September 19, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Lorence & Vander Zwart helps extend a 10 yearlong community musical service. The newly named Free@3 inaugural performance will now be held at the First Reformed Church on 630 State St. on Sunday, September 19th at 3:00 pm. It is open to the public, for all ages and is free of charge.

The first concert will feature piano, string quartet and oboe in a recital commemorating the 200th anniversary of the birth of composer Robert Schumann. “The series has been going on for over a decade. I’m passionate because I love music and I have spent my life playing, teaching, performing and bringing music to others,” said Joan Conway, the founder and director of the music program.

Many community supporters have come together to carry forward this tradition. First Reformed Church provided a venue to play at; underwriting was given by Lorence & Vander Zwart and Joan Conway, and a new Mason & Hamlin grand piano was donated by the family of William and Clarice DeHaan. “I’m glad we were able to help out.
