March of Dimes Benefits from Being Home-Tech "Charity of the Month"

Fort Myers, FL, September 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Home-Tech and its customers donated $1,250 to the March of Dimes in August as part of its Charity of the Month program. This program donates a portion of the price of each new air conditioning unit purchased to a designated charity each month, in customers’ names.

“We applaud Home-Tech’s creative way of getting its customers involved in giving back,” says the local March of Dimes chapter executive director Norma Eveland.

Home-Tech’s donation will support the Signature Chefs Auction and Masquerade party, to be held at the Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa on September 18. The Florida chapter of the March of Dimes holds several Signature Chefs auctions around the state to raise funds.

"We’re pleased that we were able to give so much to this important cause," says Home-Tech founder and CEO Steve Marino. "This money will benefit the March of Dimes mission in all five counties where we operate." Since Home-Tech launched its Charity of the Month program in July 2009, it has given more than $13,000 to organizations in the five-county area it serves.
