Cyprus DMC Premier Destination Management Supports Meetings Industry Charity

Cyprus DMC Premier Destination Management is pleased to announce its contribution to the 2010 Meetings Needs charity auction, through the donation of 3 major prizes including stays in some of the premier Cyprus hotels which partner with the destination management company.

Limassol, Cyprus, September 28, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Premier Destination Management, a Cyprus DMC with over 20 years experience in the industry, today announced its participation in the 2010 Meeting Needs auction, the now well-established charity auction arranged by meetings and events industry professionals.

Premier DMC already contributes regularly to several local charities in Cyprus and when providing suggestions to event organizers for their meetings and incentives in Cyprus, social responsibility options are always top of the bill, including activities as diverse as building bicycles for children from poor families, caring for the elderly and providing villages with much needed resources.

Meetings Industry Meeting Needs is described as ‘the meeting industry's own charity.’ Established in 2002 as a registered UK charity, MIMN is managed by high profile members of the meetings and incentives sector. The charity raises funds for various causes which are relevant to the events industry. In the past they have helped charitable initiatives such as Children of Uganda, The Elizabeth Foundation, Build IT International and Happy Days Children's Charity.

Each year, a large online charity auction is arranged, which culminates in the annual Meetings Industry Marketing Awards, the annual awards for the meetings, incentives and events industry organized by leading industry publication Meetings & Incentive Travel Magazine. As well as recognizing successful marketing initiatives in the sector, the awards, now in their 9th year, are the event at which the major fundraising takes place and the auction winners are announced.

Premier DMC has contributed 3 top prizes to the auction consisting of stays at some of the premier hotels the company partners with in Cyprus. The first prize donated is a 3 night stay at the 5 star Columbia Beach Resort in Cyprus for 2 adults and one child. Located in the picturesque Pissouri Bay, a tranquil beach with a backdrop of stunning white cliffs, the Columbia Resort offers pools with incredible views and a luxury experience of 5 star service, gourmet cuisine and award winning spa facilities.

The second auction prize donated by Premier DMC includes a seven night stay for 2 adults and a child at the beautiful Coral Beach Hotel, in Coral Bay, Paphos including a dinner and wine . The Coral beach has a superb location overlooking the golden beach of Coral Bay which is adjacent to the UNESCO protected unspoilt beauty of the Akamas peninsula.

The third prize is a 4 night stay at the newly renovated Elias Beach Hotel in Limassol, located on a beautiful sandy beach an elegant luxury hotel with numerous facilities and an extensive entertainment and activities programme. The hotel also boasts some new facilities including 3 new beautiful free form pools and lush gardens overlooking the Mediterranean.

The auction will go live during week of 20th September and run for the three weeks leading up to the Meetings Industry Marketing Awards presentation dinner on the 18th October 2010 at the Park Plaza Riverbank London.
